Debut feature to tackle the lingering effects of the KR

Young French-Khmer filmmaker Loy Te has just wrapped up production on his debut feature film, which he submitted this week for consideration to the prestigious Cannes Film Festival.

Produced by the 23-year-old’s production house, Kongchak Pictures, Chhem: My Son is an 80-minute psychological drama set in the modern day which examines the scars the Khmer Rouge left on Cambodian society.
